Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker (Review)

Can we just talk about how clever this name is for a second. Who would have thought of that name. I think it's so genius. I've owned one of this before in the shade Clear, but this particular one was a gift from my cousin Ken and his girlfriend Armina.

Product Name: Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Plumping Gloss in Half Naked
Price: $16.00
Net Weight: 7 ml / 0.23 US Fl. Oz.
Available at: Sephora, sephora.com, soapandglory.com
Claims: "SEXY MOTHER PUCKER includes ingenious PLUMPING MICROSPHERES that explode in volume up to 10x when they come in contact with water (theyĆ¢€™re like tiny, dehydrated little sponges that expand when they get wet) and an exclusive microcirculation-stimulating extract to visibly enhance lip volume." (according to soapandglory.com)
Texture/Finish: Kind of sticky. Glossy finish.
Scent: Each shade has a different scent/flavor. For the "Half Naked" shade, the scent is Buttered Popcorn.
Packaging: It's in a regular gloss tube. The applicator is a doe-foot.

Opinion: I've owned one of these before but it was a long time ago when they still sold Soap & Glory products at my local Target store. Anyway, when it says it's gonna plump your lips, it meant IT'S GONNA PLUMP YOUR LIPS! This product is amazing. I love how it's in a sleek tube where you can see the color right away and you can just throw it in your purse. I love the color. I think for a gloss, it's very pigmented and not so sticky which I very much prefer. Like other lip-plumping products, this gloss, stings you lips but it doesn't hurt at all. The stinging sensation would probably last from 30-45 mins. Another thing that I love is the name. Every time people ask me what the name of the gloss I'm wear when I use this, it always sound like I'm cursing them out, which could also go horribly wrong. It's definitely a conversation starter.

I'm not really a lip gloss fan, but I really like this one. I think this shade "Half Naked" is a perfect nude for my lips. As for the claims, I can't really say that it does what it says with the whole "your lips get plumper when it's wet" thing, but your lips will definitely NOT plump up 10x. That's just unrealistic. But, it does plump up your lips beautifully and naturally. Overall, I just love this product. The smell and taste of it are kind of crazy though. Buttered Popcorn? I must say though, they definitely got the taste/smell right. This gloss would make a great gift or just something to put in your purse in case you need a little lip-plumping in the middle of the day. I would definitely recommend this.

Grades:
-Pigmentation: 5/5
Very nicely pigmented for a lip gloss. Definitely covers up the lines on my lips.
-Texture: 4/5
It coud get a little sticky if a lot is applied.
-Longevity: 4/5
I haven't tried it on for the whole day but it lasted me about 3 hours which is not bad for a gloss.
-Price: 4/5
I think for the the quality of the gloss, it is definitely worth the price. But, it might seem a little expensive for a tube of gloss.

Overall: 4.25/5
I really enjoyed this product. Great for everyday use.
